Class Descriptions

Hatha Yoga - A practice combining energetic postures (Asanas), breathing techniques (Pranayama) and relaxation (Savasana). This is the cornerstone of yoga practice: union of body, mind and spirit. Postures strengthen and open the physical body. Breathwork releases tension and stills the busyness of the mind. Practitioners are left with an overall sense of wellbeing inside and out. Some prior yoga experience is helpful.

Yin Yoga - A practice that holds poses to encourage deep release in body and mind. Gentle pressure and tug is placed on the body's connective tissue. This stimulates the body's process that lubricates joints, helping mobility and range of motion. Using awareness of breath while holding the poses in stillness makes Yin Yoga a deep, meditative experience. Practitioners are guided to feel the right amount of sensation that benefits their bodies. No prior experience necessary.

Guided Meditation - Features breathing exercises to encourage mindful awareness. Expect gentle stretching to aid relaxation and benefit posture. Dress in loose, comfortable clothing. No prior experience necessary.

Beach Yoga (Seasonal) -

An all levels class on the shoreline in Allenhurst, NJ. Bring a blanket or large beach towel. Beach Yoga can be accessed via the ramp at the northern end of Allenhurst boardwalk where Ocean Place comes to a dead end. Parking is available on Ocean Place, Cedar Avenue, or Spier Avenue. In case of rain, Beach Yoga will be held at Fearless, Fierce & Free Studio, 409 Spier Avenue, Allenhurst. Beach yoga drop in rate is $15 payable by cash or Venmo (@Alissa-Reisler) or one class card.
